DESCRIPTION:” For all those interested in the future of shipping “\nThe SmartShip Exchange event was organised for all those interested in the future of shipping to exchange ideas and network with this pioneering community of maritime professionals. Focus has been given on the latest technological innovations shaping the maritime industry and what it means for the future of shipping. \nIt was emphasised in the issues correlated with the increasing autonomy in shipping including a mixture of presentations\, round-table discussions and panel debates from leading experts from the shipping industry worldwide including fleet owners\, naval architects\, designers\, manufacturers\, operators\, harbour authorities and maritime research organisations. \n \nDuring the event Mr. Kevin Forshaw\, representing the University of Plymouth\, which is member of the Cyber-MAR consortium\, promoted the Maritime Cyber Research at the UoP and presented how working with Maritime stakeholders will contribute to improvement of cyber resilience in the maritime sector\, which constitutes the goal of the Cyber-MAR project. \n  \n \nThis project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement no 833389. DESCRIPTION:Trends & Challenges after the Paris Agreement & MTCCs’ Success Stories\nThe GMN project has concluded its 3rd International Conference at the World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö\, Sweden. SUMMARY:The Baltic Seas International Maritime Conference\, Finland

SUMMARY:Cyber-MAR kick-off meeting in Porto Heli
DESCRIPTION:Cyber-MAR is an EU-funded innovation action\, that addressed the call SU-DS01-2018 of the H2020 Programme and consists of 13 partners from 8 EU countries\, united in their vision to boost cyber preparedness in the maritime sector as a highly prioritize aspect. \nThe kick-off meeting of the Cyber-MAR project was hosted by ICCS in Porto Heli\, between 18th and 20th September\, 2019. The project partners had their first interaction\, that will lead to a fruitful future collaboration. \n \nThe Kick-off meeting marked the starting point for the constructive and successful collaboration between all partners. The project’s goals were thoroughly identified during the meeting and also each Work Package leader gave a detailed overview of his roles\, responsibilities and visions. The primary goal of the meeting was to provide a thorough review of the project\, focusing on the project’s goals and expectations and classification of the 1st semester activities. \nThrough Cyber-MAR\, the maritime logistics value chain actors will increase their cyber-awareness level and will validate their business continuity management\, towards minimizing their business disruption potential. Cyber-MAR will act also as a cost-efficient training solution covering the maritime logistics value chain. \n \nThis project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement no 833389.
