ΙΤS Hellas, the “Hellenic Association for the deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems” organised the 5th Conference entitled: “Intelligent Transport Systems in Greece: Latest developments”, on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 December 2019 in Athens, Greece.

As previous editions, the main objective of this event, organised under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, was to discuss the broad deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) as a tool to achieve economic growth and prosperity and ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of transport for the benefit of the respective industry, the end-users and the environment.

SEABility attended the event, by being also one of the conference exhibitors, offering to the visitors the opportunity to learn about the company’s activities stemming from its participation in European Research and Innovation Projects related to the areas of electromobility, intelligent transport systems, the use of advanced technologies for increasing ports’ and logistics’ efficiency and the use of cyber range in the maritime logistics.

In parallel, during this important for the Hellenic transport sector event, prominent Greek and foreign speakers thoroughly discussed and presented a number of key-topics, through several sessions and round table discussions:

  • European Developments and Good Practices in the field of ITS;
  • New ITS technologies in Greece;
  • New ITS technologies for highways: needs and challenges;
  • Development Strategy and Policies;
  • ITS for a sustainable mobility and Greek excellence;
  • Intelligent Freight Transport.
